May has just kicked off here in Binghamton, and if you’re a local, by the time I finish this sentence you already know I’m hinting at First Friday. The April showers don’t follow schedules here, and last night’s thunderous booms are leaving many artists praying the weather plays nice. Art galleries open their doors to a thirsty audience of pedestrians tonight for three hours. The night is an orchestra of sounds ranging from enthusiastic bewilderment to silent, curious observation. Maybe its the wine or maybe its the canvases that makes thefamiliar downtown appear new while making the new feel familiar.

So what’s a web design company take from this art? Surprisingly, a lot. You might think: there’s no similarity in capturing the vastness of the sea or the depths of a jungle with the task of polishing on-screen menus in CSS. Allow us a rebuttal? The late Steve Jobs said: “The broader one’s understanding of the human experience, the better design we will have.” Whether you’re designing a painting, or designing a web page, there’s one crucial element you’ve got to put at the forefront of every brush stroke or every

: how it makes people feel as they become a part of what you create. The artists and our team are working towards a very similar goal. They picked up a brush or camera. We went with a keyboard.

If you’re on this website right now, you’ve likely heard of SOPA and PIPA – the Stop Online Piracy Act and the Protect IP Act. You’ve also likely heard that plans to draft the bill have been postponed – quite likely because of the support of websites like Wikipedia, Reddit, Mozilla, 4chan, and over 9000 smaller sites.

The fight to protect the internet and stop website censoring is not over, however. The recent shutdown of the Megaupload website shows that the federal government is only going to increase its efforts in ‘protecting copyrights’.
